Mum & Baby Yoga

Mum & baby yoga is a great way to re-start your exercise regime post having a baby. It allows the body to build strength particularly in the core area whilst giving space mentally to adjust to motherhood.

“I really enjoyed the Mum & baby yoga with Janet, it was the first class I attended with my little boy when he was about 8 weeks old and it was such a great way to get out and meet people in a relaxed and friendly environment.
After having a c-section it also really eased me back into some gentle exercise and my son really enjoyed it too. Janet provides everyone with some sensory toys to keep the babies entertained, which he really liked.

  • Babies have fun during yoga class

    Babies up to walking are welcome. Younger babies will lie on a blanket next to mum and as they grow and develop they are able to join the older babies crawling and playing with the toys in the centre of the room. Every baby receives a bag of sensory toys which are used to help entertain the baby whilst mum does the yoga stretches. The class is for mums but we sing songs and interact with the babies during the class and the mum following her baby’s needs whether it is feeding or sleeping.

You will need a blanket for your baby to lie on and I have yoga mats for you to use unless you want to bring your own. I suggest you also bring usual nappy bag things in case your baby needs their nappy changed or want to have a feed during the class. I can zoom the class to your home or record a class and send to you if you are unable to attend one week.
